Module 3.0: Allies’ Strategies Used in the European and Pacific Theaters of War
The major fighting of WWII took place in two main areas. The European Theater involved the fighting against Germany and Italy and the Pacific Theater involved the fighting against Japan. The United States used their newly developed atomic bombs to end the war.

During this module, students will:
-Demonstrate an understanding of American economic challenges in the 1920s and
1930s and world conflict in the 1940s
-Understand the United States role during World War II

-Justify President Harry Truman's decision to use atomic bombs to end World War II
