Overview
Everyday life in American changed drastically during World War II. As men were
off fighting the war, many Americans stepped up and took their place in factories doing their part to support the United States’ war effort abroad. Others planted victory gardens and had salvage drives.
Instructions
1. After reading about the home front during the war, complete the attached graphic organizer, The Home Front, to summarize the key points for rationing, the roles of women, how factories changed during the war, and victory gardens and salvage.
