Module 2.0: U.S. Involvement in World War II
As World War II raged in Europe, the United States continued to stay neutral while sending supplies to their allies (Great Britain and France). On December 7, 1941, America’s decision to stay isolated changed. They were deliberately attack by the empire of Japan. The United States had no choice but to enter World War II.
Goals
During this module, students will:
-Demonstrate an understanding of American economic challenges in the 1920s and 1930s and world conflict in the 1940s.
-Understand the United States role during World War II
Outcomes
After completing this module, students will be able to:
-Explain the reasoning behind the United States' policy of neutrality leading up to and before involvement in World War II
-Summarize the surprise attack on Pearl Harbor and the reasons behind it
