Overview
In the late 1930s into the 40s, Japan invaded large portions of Asia. Japan also formed alliances with Germany and Italy. The United States and Japan tried to negotiate with peace talks, but Japan continued its aggression in Asia. United States became worried and stopped exporting important raw materials to Japan. This limited Japan's war efforts and increased the hostility between the United States and Japan.
